I believe the best actors aren’t in Hollywood! I believe they’re our neighbors…

And The Oscar Goes To? Even if you don’t regularly watch the Academy Awards, which I do not, you probably recognize that line just before the Oscar is presented to the Best Actor or Actress.

I believe the best actors aren’t in Hollywood!

I believe they’re our neighbors. They’re our co-workers. They’re our friends. They’re our family.

And dare we admit it? They are us too!

How many times have you been asked, “How are you doing?” only to respond, “Fine,” when in reality you are anything but fine?

Why do we do that? Why do we act like everything is okay when it’s not? It’s not okay!

It’s not okay because we rob ourselves of the compassion and support we desperately need to navigate the tough times in life. We need each other.

There is Beauty in Brokenness but it can only happen when we stop hiding behind a false facade of perfection.

Daily Doable: Stop Acting! Be Authentic. Be Vulnerable. Be Broken.
