Stay on Message. Reduce Distractions. Don’t Get Wordy.

Why I LOVE templates and why you should too.

I love templates because they help you Stay on Message.

“Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!”

I’m sure you recognize that line from the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow are describing the dangers along the Yellow Brick Road that leads to Oz.

I’d like to talk about another Yellow Brick Road. The Yellow Brick Road that leads to Content. That road can be every bit as dangerous as the way to Oz. But it doesn’t have to be.

The dangers along this road are not Lions and Tigers and Bears.

It’s Rabbits and Squirrels and Goldfish. Oh My!

Those don’t sound very scary do they? But oh how distracting they can be!

Without templates, it’s easy to get distracted and have our content wander down a rabbit hole.

It’s easy to go off topic with the next squirrel that grabs our attention.

And it’s easy to get wordy. We all evaluate content in seconds. It’s stop or move on — the goldfish effect.

What’s the secret to stay on the Yellow Brick Road to Content? It’s Templates!

Stay on Message. Reduce Distractions. Don’t Get Wordy.

Tim,
I have a number of things to thank you for.
First, you have been both helpful and kind. I deeply appreciate it.
Second, I did not know Illumination cataloged by date, so I learned something.
Third, your suggestion of changing tags was critical…
